About this role:

As the Communications Manager for Partnership Gwinnett, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our outreach efforts by managing various tactical communication needs. You will work hand-in-hand with team members and the marketing and communications team on planning, implementing and communicating out results to the business community, investors, and partners on a variety of programs/events to increase community engagement. Day-to-day duties:

  • Social media account management – Writing, phone-photo collection & posting, and proactive inquiry of the team as-needed to keep this current & engaging.
  • Email Newsletters – Manage external communications from concept, ideas, writing, approving, and submitting content and request for supporting graphics.
  • Press releases and ribbon cutting ceremonies – Drafting the releases, coordinating event details with company, public officials, private investors, etc.
  • Printed marketing material – Copywriting, coordination of quotes & approvals, management of the publication including recommendation for photos and graphics
  • Website – Management of the development contract which will involve providing guidance on site navigation, writing/editing copy for various pages compilation of visuals – whether graphics, photos, or imagery that conveys the point, and a general “ownership of the project.”
  • Partner Management – Advertising contracts, editorial calendars, relationship building & management of agreements with partner groups.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in communications, marketing, business administration, or related field. Knowledge of the community is a plus. Three years of related experience.
