It’s no secret Atlanta is the entertainment capital of the south and one thing is certain- Gwinnett is reaping the benefits as an alternative destination for tv and film production! Next time you’re binge watching, what you’re seeing may have been filmed right here in your neighborhood. From Norcross to Lawrenceville, our county has been the production site for prime time tv and box-office films for more than a decade. Major film series like The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Fast and the Furious have used Gwinnett as the backdrop for production.
Additionally, popular tv shows such as season seven of The Walking Dead and season one of Atlanta were also produced here in the county. The recent surge in top rated tv and film production comes as the result of a competitive tax incentive that has attracted entertainment giants like Fox and Lionsgate to make Gwinnett the home for multiple projects. Not to mention, Gwinnett also has the pleasure of being home to Eagle Rock Studios, which is one of the largest film and tv studios in the nation. Such state-of-the-art facilities support the growing popularity Gwinnett has in the film industry.
