Mitsubishi Electric celebrated the opening of its division headquarters in April 2013, while Primerica opened the doors of its global headquarters in May.

“Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division has called Gwinnett County home since 1992. As we’ve grown considerably over the past two decades, we have chosen to keep our base here in Gwinnett County because of the business-friendly environment that has allowed our Division to prosper,” stated Shuji Morisaki, senior vice president and general manager for Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division.

“We congratulate Gwinnett on this national recognition. The County offers such a business-friendly environment and they’ve made it an easy and wonderful decision to locate our international headquarters here,” commented John Addison, Chairman of Primerica Distribution and Co-Chief Executive Officer. “Gwinnett’s a great place to do business!”

In addition, the recent announcement that National DCP will open a corporate office in the area and create 125 full-time administrative positions was included in the magazine’s assessment.

“After researching multiple locations, we found Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta to perfectly suit the needs of our growing company,” stated Scott Carter, National DCP Chief Executive Officer. “Gwinnett’s exceptional business climate, existing infrastructure, and advantageous location in the Southeast enable us to more efficiently and effectively support our customers.”

The County was also recognized for its role as a global leader, home to companies from Japan, Korea, China, and Germany, to name a few. Gwinnett’s proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport also played a part in the community’s inclusion.
