This week’s team spotlight shines on our Programs Coordinator, Lauren Como. Since beginning her new role in March, Lauren has leveraged her interest in people and events by enhancing a few of Partnership Gwinnett’s signature programs. We hope you enjoy getting to know Lauren a little more:

Describe your role at Partnership Gwinnett (PG).

As the programs coordinator for Partnership Gwinnett, I help plan and manage more than 50 events and programs per year. Daily, I coordinate event logistics including sponsorships, registrations and additional program details, while ensuring that our programs are effective and efficient.

Tell us a little bit more about your background.

I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, but have spent most of my life in Lawrenceville where I graduated from Mountain View High School. I began my professional career as a resource and marketing specialist for the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources. Before joining the Partnership Gwinnett team, I worked for the Georgia Aquarium in human resources & training. During my time with the aquarium, I on-boarded more than 250 new team members per year and created a professional development curriculum. In 2015, I earned a bachelor’s in Social Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College. Lastly, I’m a proud member of a large Italian family and have two dogs, a seven-year-old Maltese named Sammie and an eight-month-old lab mix named Harley.

What’s your favorite part about working at Partnership Gwinnett?
