2021 Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit Award Winners Named

 

(GWINNETT-METRO ATLANTA) October 21, 2021 – Today, Partnership Gwinnett joined the Council for Quality Growth to announce the 2021 Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit (“MARS”) Award Winners.

 

The awards ceremony recognizes outstanding redevelopment projects, along with one individual for championing redevelopment around metro Atlanta.  These projects create a strong economic impact on the communities they are in and create a sense of place for residents.

 

“We are thrilled to be a part of Partnership Gwinnett’s Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit,” said Deon Tucker, Metro North Regional Director at Georgia Power. “Metro Atlanta is experiencing tremendous growth, and to accommodate that growth, we need visionary leadership to reimagine how we use our space moving forward – to attract the talent and industry of the future. We congratulate the winners on leading the way towards innovative redevelopment work – from funding to design and use, we know how complicated and costly the process can be – and we appreciate each partner every step of the way.”

 

The 2021 Awards Winners were:

  • Small Redevelopment Award Winner: Jonesboro Plaza & Streetscape
  • Medium Redevelopment Award Winner: The Brunswick
  • Large Redevelopment Award Winner: Colony Square
  • Redevelopment Champion Hall of Fame Inductee: Emory Morsberger

This is the 11th year Partnership Gwinnett has hosted this regionally focused event celebrating redevelopment around the region.
