Partnership Gwinnett Rallies Business Leaders Behind Bold Five-Year Vision, 5.0 launch unveils four strategic goals to drive business growth, attract investment, amplify Gwinnett’s brand and strengthen its talent pipeline

(Gwinnett County, GA. November 6, 2026) – Partnership Gwinnett unveiled its 5.0 campaign Friday, November 6, at The Water Tower in Buford showcasing a five-year strategy to strengthen Gwinnett’s economy and expand opportunities for businesses and residents.

Business, government, education and community leaders gathered for a first look at the strategy that will guide Partnership Gwinnett’s work from 2027 through 2031. Built around four connected goals, Partnership Gwinnett 5.0 focuses on attracting investment and supporting business growth, strengthening the workforce, amplifying Gwinnett’s brand, and cultivating places where companies and people can thrive.

The launch builds on a proven public-private partnership model that has helped Partnership Gwinnett generate more than 39,000 jobs and $7.5 billion in capital investment since 2007. Across four consecutive five-year strategic frameworks, Partnership Gwinnett has elevated the community’s global economic presence, connected employers with educational institutions and advanced award-winning revitalization strategies. Its first Accredited Economic Development Organization designation further validates the strength of that work.

These achievements are the culmination of ongoing strategic alignment that reflects changes in the global economic landscape and Partnership Gwinnett’s growing sophistication over four consecutive five-year frameworks. They provide the foundation for 5.0 and demonstrate what sustained public and private investment can accomplish together. Continued success requires a strategy that responds to changing industry needs, global competition and workforce demands. Informed by community leadership input and national benchmarked data, Partnership Gwinnett 5.0 translates that need into an actionable roadmap grounded in new trends and Gwinnett’s strengths.

“Gwinnett’s success shows what’s possible when public and private partners invest in a shared vision,” said Kevin Carmichael, Senior Vice President of Economic Development for Partnership Gwinnett. “With 5.0, we’re building on that proven approach to meet new market demands and keep Gwinnett competitive. The support we secure today will help turn our next five years of opportunity into results.”

The strategy centers on four priorities:

  • Grow the Innovation Economy: To grow businesses, create quality jobs, and expand economic opportunity.
  • Amplify Gwinnett’s Brand: To attract investment and share Gwinnett’s story to the world.
  • Cultivate Place: To create vibrant communities where businesses and people thrive.
  • Align Education and Talent: To develop a ready talent pipeline through education and workforce alignment.

Throughout the launch, attendees heard from active investors about the value of supporting Partnership Gwinnett and explored the new goal areas with Partnership Gwinnett staff. The program also recognized the organization’s nearly 20-year history, connecting past commitments and accomplishments to the opportunities ahead.

“Businesses have a direct stake in the strength of the community around them,” said Alyssa Davis, Partnership Gwinnett board chair and executive director of Sugarloaf CID. “Access to talent, vibrant business districts and a strong reputation all influence a company’s ability to succeed. Investing in Partnership Gwinnett 5.0 gives businesses a way to help shape those conditions and build a stronger economic future for Gwinnett.”

Partnership Gwinnett will convene and coordinate the people, research, marketing, business outreach and partnerships needed to carry out the refreshed strategy over the next five years.
