Fellowship Provides State and Local Chambers with Opportunities to Engage Nationally on Critical Education and Workforce Issues
(GWINNETT-METRO ATLANTA) July 31, 2019 – Partnership Gwinnett is proud to announce the selection of Adam Forrand, Director of Education and Talent Development, as part of the US Chamber Foundation’s Business Leads Fellowship Program. Forrand joins a distinguished group of leaders as part of the fellowship’s third cohort.
Forrand was selected through a competitive national application process and joins 33 peers for the four-month program covering early childhood education, K-12, higher education and workforce development. The fellowship program trains and equips leaders across the nation with resources, access to experts and a network of peers in order to address pressing education and workforce challenges.
“We created the Business Leads Fellowship Program in response to the needs of our state and local chamber partners,” said Cheryl Oldham, Senior Vice President of the Center for Education and Workforce. “They, better than anyone, see the critical link between education and economic development, and we are glad to be able to support them as they take on this critical leadership role in their community.”
“I’m excited to learn national best practices from my education and talent development peers,” said Forrand. “We have a tremendous opportunity in Gwinnett. Our work will catalyze local innovation and ensure both economic and community success.”
Upon completion, Business Leads Fellows will join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s dedicated network of 200 chambers of commerce and statewide associations from around the nation who regularly engage on education and workforce initiatives.
“Adam is an integral part of the Partnership Gwinnett team and the Gwinnett community,” said Andrew Carnes, Vice President of Economic Development at Partnership Gwinnett. “He excels at connecting all members of our education and workforce network and creating momentum around a shared vision for sustained success.”
