(Gwinnett County, GA., September 5, 2025) –– Partnership Gwinnett, a public-private initiative dedicated to bringing new jobs and capital investment to Gwinnett, has received a Savvy Award at the 3CMA (City-County Communications & Marketing Association) Annual Conference. The honor recognizes the success of the organization’s Become Gwinnett digital media campaign, a bold initiative designed to attract businesses from around the world to locate and grow in Gwinnett County.
Become Gwinnett emphasizes the community’s world-class talent, diverse population, and strong economic ecosystem. As one of the most diverse counties in the United States, Gwinnett is home to residents from more than 180 nations, with over 100 languages spoken in students’ homes. This campaign leveraged targeted Google ads, social media engagement, YouTube videos, and storytelling-driven content to position Gwinnett as a premier destination for both businesses and talent. In the five-month span after the launch, the campaign garnered significant interest and saw a 186% increase in social media followers, a reach of more than 2.5 million – a 110% increase when compared to previous years – and a 616% increase in users on the PartnershipGwinnett.com website.
“It is an honor to highlight the story of Gwinnett, and through the Become Gwinnett campaign, be able to amplify the success that we are seeing in our community,” shared Rebecca Reis, Director of Marketing, Communications & Events at Partnership Gwinnett. “Winning this Savvy Award affirms the important role storytelling plays in successful community and economic development.”
Since its inception in 2007, Partnership Gwinnett has facilitated more than 38,000 new jobs and over $5 billion in capital investment. The Become Gwinnett campaign builds on that momentum by showcasing the businesses who have contributed to this success and the infrastructure that supports it.
“Every day, we focus on recruiting, retaining, and expanding business, collaborating with partners in economic development, education, and the community,” said Kevin Carmichael, SVP of Partnership Gwinnett. “This success would not be possible without marketing strategies like Become Gwinnett. Congratulations to our investors, partners, and staff on this well-deserved recognition.”
This recognition comes on the heels of an Award of Excellence that Partnership Gwinnett recently received from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for its newly refreshed website. Members from the team will attend the upcoming conference to receive their award on a global stage. Learn more about what is next by staying connected to our social media outlets and website.
